Talk show on “Effective learning methods for students in training programs with foreign element”


On May 28, 2019, Institute for International Training and Cooperation (IICT), Ho Chi Minh City University of Food Industry (HUFI) held a talk show on “Effective learning methods for students in training programs with foreign element”.

Attending IICT’s talk show, there were Dr. Dang Tan Hiep – Deputy of IICT, three speakers including Assoc. Dr. Tran Phuoc - Head of Faculty of Finance and Accounting at HUFI, Dr. Bui Xuan Vuong - Lecturer of Faculty of Natural Sciences Pedagogy at Saigon University and Dr. Nguyen Thi Thuy – Vice Deputy of IICT, alumni in joint training program (2 + 2) and all students studying training programs with foreign element at IICT.

The talk show took place in a lively atmosphere and received a lot of response from the students. At the talk show, the speakers shared their experiences in studying and teaching programs with foreign element and helped students to distinguish between good study and effective study. In addition to answering questions from students, the speakers also provided useful advices on the difficulties that students may encounter, especially on learning methods and developing foreign language skills, how to balance between learning and part-time job, as well as adaptation in living and studying in a foreign environment and so on. Sharing of real experiences on learning process and job opportunities from alumni also helped students be assured, trust, and motivated to strive for learning.
